This new online slots game was released on 23 April, and is based on everyone’s favourite neck-biter, Count Dracula (in fact we already have a review of Dracula published). The blood-feasting Count has been depicted in numerous styles ever since he was first dreamt up by novelist Bram Stoker in 1897. In NetEnt’s new slot he takes on the appearance of a brooding, raven-haired young man wearing a muscle vest.
When you enter the game, you get to view one of NetEnt’s trademark cinema-standard feature animations. Here, a fearful young lady is being pursued around town by some unseen malevolent force. As the action pans out, you get to see her pursuers are a crowd of black bats.
The girl gives the bats the slip but slips herself and tumbles to the cobbles. As she slowly backs away she notices something out of the corner of her eye … the camera fast-zooms in to the look of horror on her face and the rest is darkness.
When the game begins Dracula is sitting to the left of the reels, looking suitably brooding. He obviously pays out your wins from his own coffers, as whenever you land a winning combination he reaches forwards from his seat and bares his fangs at you.
Dracula also has a habit of dissolving into a flock of fearsome black bats. Whenever this happens, the swarm of bats swoop over the reels and turn a selection of the reel positions into the same symbol. To prove that he is not simply all about menace, Dracula has a lady friend in this game who appears to be same girl as was being chased in the intro animation. Dracula himself appears as a stacked wild on reel two, and his lady friend as a stacked wild on reel four.
