As with most Betsoft Gaming slots, it’s the sensational bonus features included which really bring the game to life.
To begin with there are three different worlds to play in – one primary and two secondary. The primary world is the base game and is set in Geppetto’s Workshop. Each time a Geppetto symbol lands on the center reel it triggers a Wild Scroll which moves from right to left spinning each reel until it moves off the screen, plus there are Stage and Classroom meters to fill in order to begin the secondary worlds.
The Stage and Classroom worlds are triggered by accumulating the Wagon and Books symbols respectively on reels two and four. Once ten symbols have been collected the corresponding meter will be full and the game is transferred to that secondary world where players are rewarded with a minimum of eight free spins, with the spin count only decreasing when a spin doesn’t result in a win for players. In the Stage world when the Wagon symbol lands on reel three it triggers a Wild Scroll Wild Reel which makes the whole center reel Wild and respins for a total of five times. In Classroom world when the Book symbol lands on reel one, three, or five it triggers a Wild Scroll which moves downwards and respins each time until it leaves the reels.
Another interesting feature is Real Boy mode. The game starts with all players in Wood Boy mode, however when five Real Boy symbols have been collected the Wood Boy symbols become Real Boy symbols instead and act Wild substituting for the games other symbols, aside from the Scatters.
The final feature in Pinocchio is Fairy Awesome Respins which sees an animted Fairy appear and respin the reel to offer players a second opportunity should they miss out on a 5x combo win due to a symbol on reel one, three or five.
